The other Romney Family

I was able to take some pictures for my sister-in-law Becky. She wanted some updated family pictures. Trying to get family pictures are next to impossible, especially when my kids are running around and want so badly to play with their cousins and be in the pictures! Thanks for letting me practice on your guys! Your family is adorable!

T-Ball Time

It has been so fun to have kids old enough to participate in activities! Sam started taking karate a few months ago while Jack took swimming lessons. Sam is still doing karate but we added t-ball in the mix. Jack will start swimming lessons again next month so hopefully he wont feel left out too much longer.

Sam had his first T-Ball game today and he did great! His team name is the "Twins" probably because we have some twins on our team. Jake was helping to fill in for the coach today since he had a scout thing this morning. It was really fun to see two of my boys out on the ball field! Jake loved helping and getting the kids excited! I think he should coach all the time! Sam got several hits and even threw some outs on first base! It's so fun to watch kids this age group because some hit the ball and then just watch it instead of running to the bases. Others are really aggressive and some are just quiet and shy. I think all of them had a blast and loved playing! GO TWINS!!

Jake went out and bought himself his own baseball mitt so he can practice with Sam. It is so fun to see your husband interact and have fun with your children! We can't wait for Mondays game now!

I absolutely love the picture of Sam running past home base and giving his dad a high five on the way!

Ava and the cement

Poor little Ava took a hard hit on the cement this morning. It all started while I was trying to dry my hair. Ava saw the pink umbrella stroller and wanted to get in, so I sat her in and strapped her in the stroller. Jack then wanted to push her around. I let him because he was only pushing her around the bedrooms and the hallway. A few minutes later I hear some screaming. Jack had unlocked and opened the front door and pushed her down the two stairs from the front porch onto the driveway. Poor little Ava was still strapped in and screaming with her face covered in blood and blood splattered on the cement. This also happened around the time I needed to pick up Sam from preschool. I run in wash Ava's face off so I could see where she was bleeding from. I call Jake and scream at him to come home because Ava was bleeding. I then called Sam's preschool teacher to let them know I would be 15 minures late because we had an emergency fall. Jake got home a few minutes later and we rushed to the urgent care while Jake and Jack picked up Sam. Luckily they don't think her nose is broken, just really swollen and bruised. We will know more after the swelling goes down. It looks like she can breathe just fine out of her nose and everything else in her face, head and neck seemed to be normal. I feel so blessed that she didn't get hurt worse!

Jack know I was mad at him after it happened because he went right to time out. Every time you tried to talk to him about he got really quiet and looked away and even apologized several times without being asked to. I think he learned his lesson!

I think Ava will be just fine. She will have a bruised and swollen nose and black and blue eyes in a couple days but I think she will survive! It is just so hard to see your children get hurt!

My New Life

The new video that the church put out is truly amazing! It touched me and even Jake got a few tears in his eyes. The video really gives a clear picture of our divine roles as women and mothers, the gospel of Jesus Christ, trials, and becoming closer to our Savior. I love how she says in the vidoe that motherhood is divine and is a privilege, it is our role to love our children and teach them of Jesus Christ. Stephanie Nielson is truly an inspiration.

Playing doctor

I was looking through my pictures and found these of the boys taken October 7, 2008, just a month before Ava was born. I remember I caught the boys playing doctor on Sam's bed. You can tell Sam is the older brother because Jack only got to play doctor long enough for one picture!

I can't believe what a difference a year and a half makes! My boys look so young in these pictures! Sam was 3 and a half and Jack had just turned two. I feel so blessed to be their mother! What joy and craziness these two rascals bring into our home!

Another post of Ava

I just realized how many pictures I have posted of Ava lately. I will have to get some up of the boys soon, just to try to keep things equal :)

The other day I trimmed the bak of Ava's hair to even it a bit. She now actually has pretty much one length in the back. She has a cute little "bob" haircut and I love it! I was surprised at how well I cut her hair, I am glad I didn't screw it up too much!

This little girl is our angel and can do no wrong, especially with her daddy! I don't know what it is about daddy's and their little girls but Jake just adores her!
