Sleeping Ava

I was going through my pictures tonight and found some that I need to post for our blog book. These were taken the day after we moved here.  Poor little Ava was so so tired!  The house was a complete disaster with boxes everywhere.  I had put Ava down on my bed while I put away some things in my room.  Before I knew it she had fallen fast asleep while sucking her thumb.

Right after she was born she took the binky a handful of times.  After that she wanted nothing to do with it.  Around 5 months she started to suck her thumb to pacify herself.  That only lasted  a month or so.  Here is sweet little Ava fast asleep sucking her thumb!

She actually has hair!

Our babies are usually pretty bald when they are born.  Jack was the baldest.....he still has really fine baby hair and only has to get a haircut every few months.  Sam had a little hair when he was born and now has nice thick hair.  Ava has been the one with the most hair....her hair still isn't a record breaker or anything!

Just in the past few months her hair has grown quite a bit.  I can now actually put a little clip in her hair and it stays!  She usually doesn't let me put a hairband and flower or bow in anymore as she will pull it out and it will end up around her neck!  I cannot wait until she has enough hair to do pigtails!

My Sam is growing up!

We were outside playing today and I was taking pictures of the kids playing together and being silly.  When I really had the chance to look at the pictures tonight I realized that my Sam has sure lost his baby look and now looks more and more like a big boy!  It is hard for me to believe that he is 4 and a half years old and is going to be going to preschool in another month! We love you Samuel and are so blessed you decided to join our family!

Morning Look

I just love the way our kids look right after they wake up in the morning.....puffy face, puffy red eyes, messy hair!  Here is Ava one morning soon after waking up.  I love how you can see her newest teeth she is getting on the top!

Falling asleep while eating

I guess it is possible because Jack did it the other day!  We were taking a drive to one of the many lakes out here.  It was close to nap time and lunch time so we pulled out our PB and J sandwiches hoping we could get Jack to eat lunch before he fell asleep.  He actually did eat most of his sandwich, with his eyes closed.  I had to talk to him and nudge him several times to get him to finish chewing!  He must of just needed a little food fuel because after his sandwich he was awake to eat the rest of his lunch and not too long after that he was dancing around at the lake!

This is happens when your eight month old is being TOO quiet!

I had put Ava on the floor and had given her the baby puffs with the lid on.  She likes to play with the container.  I was trying to keep her entertained so I could start making dinner.  I realized that after about 5 minutes she was being a little too quiet so I checked on her and this is what I saw. She has somehow gotten the lid off and poured some on the floor and was munching on them.  I was amazed she had gotten the lid off!  I guess anything is possible when you are determined enough!

Swimming in the water table

These were taken a few weeks ago one afternoon playing outside in the water.  I had gotten the water table out and Jack decided that he no longer wanted his swimsuit on so he took it off and got into the water table naked.  Our Jack always keep us on our toes!

Fisherman Sam

This was taken a few weeks ago when we went on a picnic and then fishing.  This is the only picture I got as right after I snapped the picture I stepped on Jakes fishing pole and it snapped in half.  Jake wasn't too happy with me saying that all I do is take pictures and I don't pay attention to anything else going on.  I decided to put the camera down and pay attention!  Luckily it was just the stick and not the reel that broke.  We were able to buy another stick the next day!  Both Samuel and Jack have their own little fishing poles and they love to go fishing.  Sam seems to enjoy it more than Jack.  He just usually likes to throw rocks in the river!

Have you ever seen a bigger moth?

Jake noticed this moth sitting on the door frame at our front door when he came home for lunch today.  All of us were amazed at how huge this thing was.  I have never seen a moth this big before.  We have seen huge bees, huge beetles, huge flies and now a huge ugly moth!  I swear all the bugs are bigger here in Vernal!!

Chubby Little Ava

I title this post chubby little Ava because I wanted to get some pictures of her showing her chubby bum and tummy.  She is our cute little but chubby girl.  She is only around 14-15lbs which is between the 5-10% for weight for her age but you would never know by her little rolls and chubs she has on her!  We sure love our chubby little girl!

My little girl is Eight months old!

Little Ava turned eight months old last Friday.  I still can't believe that she is not a tiny baby anymore. Sometimes I wish time would just stand still!  Ava's little personality shines through more and more everyday.  She is loved by all of us, especially her brothers who love to wake her up from naps and crawl in the crib with her.  They love to hold her and kiss her to pieces.  I don't blame them.....she is so yummy I could just eat her up!

She jabbers all the time and loves to hold conversations with us.  She loves to blow raspberries especially when we do it with her!  She still is rolling and turning in circles to get where she wants.  I am not sure she has figured out about scooting and crawling but that will come soon enough.  She loves to sit in her high chair at meal time and eat most of what we are eating.  She at least tries it....most of it still ends up on her face and in her lap.  She still takes a morning and afternoon nap and gets up anywhere from once a night to three times a night to nurse.  She is defiantly a mamma's girl.  She has become quite attached to me and even cries at times when I hand her over to Jake for a break.  Other times it is funny how she is completely happy with Jake when I am not in the room but once she can hear my voice or see me she immediately starts to cry and reaches her arms out for me.  She loves to grab anything that she can get a hold of and stuff it into her mouth.  She enjoys hanging out in the saucer, jumper, and anywhere on the floor by her brothers!  We feel so blessed that she came to join our family!  I can't even imagine our family without her!  I am loving being her mommy!
