First solid!

It is hard to believe that Ava is now old enough to start on solid foods. We decided that since she is now five months old it was time to start giving her some rice cereal. The doctor mentioned that we could start cereal at her four month well visit and said if we felt we needed to we could put some butter to fatten it up a bit to see if it helps her to gain weight. So on Easter Sunday we decided to give it a try. As you can tell from the pictures Ava seemed to enjoy her first solid but wasn't really sure how to handle it as most of it ended up on her and not in her!

Easter Weekend!

We had a great Easter that started on Saturday with dying and decorating our Easter eggs with stickers. We then woke up and the kids found their Easter baskets filled with toys and goodies and then went on the hunt for Easter eggs and candy. After the hunt and playing with their new horses, knights, dragons, and flashlights it was time to get ready for church. I wasn't able to get a picture of the boys in their Easter shirts or the three of them together due to the boys not cooperating. So I tried to take a few of Ava and she was not happy for very long! I will have to try to get pictures of the kids this weekend......that is if this rainy weather ever clears up!

Samuel's Birthday Party!

Samuel's birthday was almost a month ago but I took so many pictures that day it seemed to take forever to go through all of them. We had a great birthday party with pizza, soda, cake, ice cream, family, friends and great weather for playing outside! Samuel got some knights and dragons, a dinosaur, a castle for all his knights and dragons and some sticker puzzle books. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated Sam's birthday with us. Happy fourth birthday buddy.....we love you and hope you had a great day!

My new toy!

This is my new toy that my wonderful husband got for me! We were in need of a new computer and since we got the job in Vernal Jake said we could get one of these. We were trying to decide between the mac and the pc but after some research and deliberation we decided on the mac. We have never owned a mac before so we are still learning all about our new toy but so far it has been quite fun to have! Thanks again honey for getting me such an awesome computer!

Five months already?!

Our little baby girl is five months old! It seems as though I just posted about your fourth month! Ava is as cute as ever and her little personality is shining through. She is our cute itty bitty red head! At her four month well visit she was 11lbs 14oz!! Hopefully she is around 13lbs now.....I have a feeling she might just be itty bitty her whole life! We are so in love with you Ava and thank our Heavenly Father you were sent to us! Some of the highlights this past month.....

• You are very close to rolling over
• You love to sit in you bumbo seat and always try to sit up when you are in your rocker chair
• Your hair is really starting to grow and it is red just like Sam's!
  
• You have your two bottom middle teeth and you are starting to get your first molar on the bottom right
• You love to be tickled
• You love us to play with your legs and feet and you giggle the entire time
• You are becoming more of a thumb sucker
• You still don't want a bottle or a binki
• You love your daddy when it is bed time......you love to be held and put to sleep by him
• You love to watch your brothers play
• You love to play with your toys and can now pick up your toys and hold them for a minute before dropping them
• You have found your feet and love to grab at them
• You still have your spitty times and we still go though a lot of bibs and burp rags
• You still like to be swaddled when you sleep
• You love it when your brothers blow on your tummy and play pat-a-cake with you
• tolerates your tummy more...probably because you can push yourself up well and can see and so things
• You do not like loud noises.....you gets the saddest face when you are scared. You gets this huge frown and then you do this high pitch scream....it makes me so sad when you do that!
• You are getting more fun everyday as you show us your little personality!

Having fun with finger paints!

The boys kept asking to play with finger paints, so on Saturday we got the paint out and let them have fun. Samuel played for about 10 minutes and then decided he wanted to wash his hands off. He doesn't like to be dirty very long. Jack on the other hand played for a while and then decided it would be funny to rub it on his face and hair and then it turned into an all out finger paint fight between the boys! After about 10 minutes of letting the boys go at it with each other it was time to take both of them upstairs for a shower! Even after scrubbing them both down they were still stained with paint! It might take days for that stuff to wash off!
