Playing doctor

I was looking through my pictures and found these of the boys taken October 7, 2008, just a month before Ava was born. I remember I caught the boys playing doctor on Sam's bed. You can tell Sam is the older brother because Jack only got to play doctor long enough for one picture!

I can't believe what a difference a year and a half makes! My boys look so young in these pictures! Sam was 3 and a half and Jack had just turned two. I feel so blessed to be their mother! What joy and craziness these two rascals bring into our home!

Another post of Ava

I just realized how many pictures I have posted of Ava lately. I will have to get some up of the boys soon, just to try to keep things equal :)

The other day I trimmed the bak of Ava's hair to even it a bit. She now actually has pretty much one length in the back. She has a cute little "bob" haircut and I love it! I was surprised at how well I cut her hair, I am glad I didn't screw it up too much!

This little girl is our angel and can do no wrong, especially with her daddy! I don't know what it is about daddy's and their little girls but Jake just adores her!

Trying to get Easter outfit pictures

I haven't been able to take pictures of the kids in their new Easter clothes until today due to the weather. It was a beautiful day today so we headed over to the Vernal Temple grounds to take some pictures. It is extremely difficult to get a all three kids to cooperate for pictures!! I think I got a couple good ones for how difficult they were being :) I will have to try again this coming week for a good one of Sam and of all three of them together.

You are my sunshine

This little gal is truly my little sunshine!! She even posed for me when I asked her to! She has now learned to fold her arms and blow kisses. It is hard to believe that she is almost 18 months old.

A tricycle for Ava

Since Sam got a new bike for his birthday, we decided to let Ava see what she thought of Samuel's old tricycle. She got on it and wanted to go for a ride. She isn't tall enough to reach the pedals yet but she loved sitting on a big girl bike and being pushed around by her brothers!

Easter Activities

The past week or so we have done a few Easter activities to get in the Easter spirit! Our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt. We almost didn't go due to the weather...it had been raining/snowing during the day but by the evening time it had stopped but it was still cold enough to have to wear our winter coats and hats! Jake stayed home with Ava as she was getting over a cold so I braved the cold and took the boys. Sam totally got the hunt and when they yelled go he took right off. Jack on the other hand stood there and wanted me to pick up the candy and eggs for him.....silly boy!

After the hunt they had a soup and bread dinner and dessert. Someone was giving out stuffed rabbits so of course the boys wanted one. Sam got one and then of course his brother had to have one. Jack disappeared for a minute and returned with a bunny. We then left and on the way home I asked Jack where he got the rabbit and he begins to tell me that he took it out of someones bucket! So if anyone is missing a blue stuffed bunny....it's here. My sweet little Jack decided he needed one and that was the only one he could find.

We then had playgroup the other day and had a very special visitor come for the occasion. We colored Easter eggs, played egg and spoon race game, and egg toss and then the Easter Bunny came to visit with all the kids and brought each of them an Easter treat. We got our picture taken with the Easter Bunny and he even gave all of the children a hug. Jack was a little unsure of the Bunny but Sam loved him. Ava wanted nothing to do with the the Easter Bunny so I had to be in the picture too. Thanks for the awesome playgroup!

Happy Easter!

How wonderful it is that the Savior died and was resurrected so that we may too be like him and be resurrected and live again. I am so grateful for my Father in Heaven and that he gave his own Son unto us that we all may have the opportunity to be like our Savior. I am so grateful for all my many blessings, especially the gospel of Jesus Christ and my family. I am grateful to be able to watch conference on this Easter Sunday. I hope everyone remembers on this special Easter Sunday why it is we celebrate Easter. Happy Easter!!
