It's been one of those days!

Days like today I just have to remember why it is I became a mother and remember how blessed I am to have my two boys! Our days starts off bright and early with Jack waking up between 5-6 in the morning and not going back to sleep. He is then sooooo tired by 9 but he refuses to go to sleep.....so he cries and throws a fit because he is tired! What I can't understand is why he doesn't sleep......I would LOVE to be able to sleep as much as I let him sleep! So Jack has been crying because he is tired. Now Samuel decided he didn't want to eat what I gave him for breakfast so he kept crying and throwing a temper tantrum. He kept asking me "mom I want something" which is his words for I'm hungry. I made him wait until lunch to eat and when it was time to eat he only eats his hot dog and cheese and doesn't touch his carrots or strawberries but then he asks for more hot dog. Which I then try to explain to him to be able to have more hot dog he needed to try the other food on his plate.....he wouldn't have anything to do with that so once again he threw a tantrum about it. Luckily they have both calmed down and are down for a nap.

I sure do love my boys and I am truly blessed to be able to be their mother. They are a wonderful blessing from our Father in Heaven and I am truly grateful for each day I have with them. Being a parent is wonderful but it is also full of many hard and trying times but I wouldn't change it for anything! Samuel and Jack have taught me more things than I could ever teach them......I believe that we chose them and they chose us to be their parents. Here are some pictures from a trip to the park and the farm last week. They both LOVE being outside......we are so excited for spring!

Happy Easter!!

Samuel biting into his candy carrot

Samuel and Jack had a great time dying and decorating their Easter eggs on Saturday. The Easter bunny then came and hid eggs and candy and even left a few little gifts for the boys! Then it was off to church where we tried to keep the boys from running around all over church! We came home and tried to get a few pictures of the boys in their cute Easter outfits. Jack didn't want to cooperate at all....he was too busy trying to escape but at least I got a few of them together!

Samuel Turns Three!

Jack spent a good amount of the time we played outside with the rice box......thanks
to Aubrey and the nursery for such a great idea!

The ball pit we made was probably Sam's favorite

Checking out the bell on his new tricycle

The tricycle we got him....he tells me it is his bike.....not a tricycle!

Jack has a turn while Sam catches a ride on the back!

Samuel blowing his candles out for the first, second or third time! He kept asking to do it again and again!

Samuel's third birthday was on Wednesday March 19th. We spent the day going on a walk, playing at the park, going to wheeler farm and eating his birthday cake that he helped to decorate. It was such a great day and it is so hard to believe that he is already three.....where does the time go?! It's hard to believe he was once a tiny 6lb 6 oz itty bitty baby......it just seems like yesterday we were welcoming him into this world and now he is all grown up, at least that is what he thinks! He is definitely such a blessing and a miracle to our family......we love you Sam and Happy Birthday to our big three year old!

We then had a family birthday party on Saturday where we played and played. Thanks to the great weather we were able to be outside and the kids absolutely loved it! Samuel had a great time and loved every minute of it! He even asked to blow out his candles one more time!! Thanks to all of our family who came and helped us celebrate Sam's birthday with us!

Blogging World here we come!

So......we are blogging now! We though this would be a fun way for friends and family to see a glimpse of a day in the life of the Romney family! It seems that everyone these days has a blog and I enjoy being able to read about the lives of our friends and family, so I thought it was time to start our blog. Hopefully this will be a fun way to keep our friends and family posted on the events in our lives.
