Climbing through the window

Our house is a rambler with a finished basement.  It's been great to have the bedrooms and kitchen on the main floor and have the TV entertainment room and playroom downstairs. There is actually a little room under the stairs for the boys to play in.  We actually had two little rooms for the boys to play in at the house we were renting in Bountiful.  They loved having their own miniature house.  It was a bonus to score the same little house under the stairs here in Vernal The boys love to play in their little house!  This particular day Jack had brought his rocking horse into the room and was climbing through the little window to sit on the horse.  He never ceases to amaze me with all the things he comes up with!

Splash Park

Our ward here in Vernal has a play group once a month.  For July we went to the splash park. The splash park is actually in a little city called Naples which is also the place where we attend church.  We have a chapel down the street from our house but they split the ward a couple years ago and they sent our ward to a chapel on the other side of town.....about 10 minutes away!  It's not that far but considering we are in Utah and it seems there is usually a church on every corner it is quite an adjustment to make sure we leave on time so we aren't late.

We had play group at the splash park which was quite fun.  It wasn't super hot on the day we went so the boys got chilled and were shivering quite a few times.  They took a few breaks from splashing to sit in the sun and warm up.  It was all fun and games until Jack tripped while he was running and scrapped his head and knee.  After that all he wanted to do was go home.  At least they got in some good splashing time before the breakdown!

Finger Paint and Sand

I decided it would be fun if I did a craft with the boys so last week we made a snake out of a paper plate and then painted it.  Sam wanted to paint his all green as that is his favorite color.

Later that day the boys did finger painting outside and throughly enjoyed it.  After painting, Jack decided he wanted to play in the sandbox in his horse underwear.  I do love times like this when I can sit back and watch my children express themselves through learning and playing.  I love Sam's facial expressions as they truly are my Sam!  I love the pictures of Jack playing in the sand in his underwear.....he is our get down and dirty adventurous kid!

Look at how messy I can get mommy!

Here are lots of pictures of Ava eating her lunch today.  She has never really liked baby food so we went to finger foods.  She was enjoying mac and cheese, pears, cheerios and nilla wafers.  She loves to grab all the food she can, make a mess with it and put it in her mouth.  Some if not most of the food still comes right back out but at least she is enjoying it!
