Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my companion who loves me and stands by me through the many trials and triumphs of life. What a great example of a dedicated and hard worker you are to our three children. Happy Father's Day to my own Father who taught me, provided for me and loved me all these years. Happy Father's Day to my Father-in-law who has raised a wonderful son and taught him throughout his life.

My children and I are so blessed to have such wonderful men in our lives. Thank you all for being such great examples of what a Father is.

Six

Six is how old our oldest is now. He can no longer count how old he is on one hand, it now takes two hands. We had a fun filled day today with a friend party at nickel mania followed by dinner out with both sets of grandparents at Red Robin. We had a very fun but exhausting day! I am so grateful for all the many friends and family Samuel has. Samuel has turned out to be one great kid! Happy Birthday Samuel!

Today

First of all I want to mention the snow.....I think we had more snow today than any other day so far this winter! We had a foot of snow at our house and of course anytime we went outside, my boys ran outside tromping through the snow, they even went sledding at a friends house and enjoyed some of the snow before it started to melt. I think they each went through three pairs of pants by the end of the day!

I also have to mention something Sam said tonight. The primary presidency came to visit with Samuel and Jack. Jack and Ava were lying on the floor with their hands on their cheeks, one of the ladies in the presidency mentioned how cute they looked and Sam begins to say "look I can make it more cuter " as he jumps in between Jack and Ava! They kept mentioning how adorable they were. I needed that little reminder tonight as it was one of those many nights when Jake was gone at school and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Another thing Samuel mentioned tonight to the presidency made me feel a bit embarrassed. The presidency asked each one of them who their favorite prophet or scripture story was. At first Samuel tells then "we don't read very many scriptures" Of course they replied by saying that we all could do better and that it is hard with little kids. I agree, it is hard with little kids but man, I sure do need to do better about reading scriptures with them! I know Samuel was just being honest and I needed to hear it! I am going to try to read the scripture stories with my kids everyday so that hopefully they will be able to retain some of it and feel of thy spirit. It is our job to teach our little ones the gospel and I am grateful for that opportunity!

My three little blessings

Since it was my birthday today, I asked Jake if he would be willing to take some pictures of me with the kids since I am always the one behind the camera. It is nearly impossible to get three kids to sit for a picture. We had to bribe them with candy, wii playing time, angry birds, pretty much anything and everything. We were able to get a few before Ava ran away and Jack was screaming "I hate pictures, no more pictures, you always take pictures and I hate them!" I guess that tells me just how often I do take pictures! Maybe we will have to try again another day!

Wrapped around her finger

All I have to say is this little girl has us wrapped around her finger! She is one spoiled two year old! How can I say no when I look at that face?! She let me take pictures of her, but only under her conditions. She chose where she wanted to sit and how she wanted to pose! I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! Love you Ava Lynne!

Life doesn't get much better than this

I love nothing more than to see the love that my kids have for each other! It is amazing to see the relationship that these two have! It isn't always easy having them only 18 months apart, but they sure are the best of friends! They both watch out for one another, especially Sam. He is so great about including Jack when friends come over to play. He is always willing to share everything he has with his brother. I love these two little monsters! I will forever cherish these pictures. I took these just after we had finished making our Valentines cookies, which is why there is flour all over them!

Angry Birds

Here are my loved ones enthralled in a game of Angry Birds on Daddy's phone! All of them could play for hours! I love Jack's impressions of an angry bird!
