Bike Riding

Ava watching and cheering her brothers on. This is her pose she likes to do.....she tips her head to one side as if she is shrugging her shoulders. She does this and knows she can get her way!

Samuel got a bike for his birthday back in March and has really liked it, but has been really timid on it. Jake spent a good hour with him in the church parking lot yesterday working on riding it and helping him to gain more confidence on his bike. He has done great and is a lot more confident on the bike.

Jack has outgrown his tricycle so yesterday we got him his very own big bike. He LOVES it and has caught on to it very quickly. He has wanted to ride it nonstop. Sam and Jack love riding their bikes with each other and I think Jack getting on a bike and riding it has helped Sam to get more confident.....I don't think he wants his little brother to beat him on it!

After the downpour

We had a HUGE summer storm in Vernal tonight with a little bit of everything: rain, wind, clouds, sunshine, power outage. The kids LOVED watching the rain come pouring down from the front porch. After the downpour, they had even more fun playing in the water!

Echo Tri 2010

Last week we spent an entire week in Salt Lake/Park City. The main reason for going was to watch Jake participate in the Echo Tri. Once again he did a great job and even beat his time by about 11 minutes! He did the Olympic Version again.....1 mile swim......26 mile bike ride and a 6 mile run. I am so proud of you Jake for putting your mind to something and accomplishing it! I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the triathlons/bike races!

Toy Story 3

We had a fun filled toy story day today! We started off my going to the library where the kids could get their picture taken with a toy story cardboard cutout. You could then enter your kids into a drawing for toy story prizes, get a balloon and watch toy story one and two. We then took the kids to see Toy Story 3 this afternoon and everyone loved it! It is such a cute movie! I hate to admit it but I got a little teary eyed over it, yes I cry at movies! I think it ended perfectly with a great message and lots of good humor. I cannot wait until this comes out and we can watch it all the time. My kids wanted to watch the other two movies in the series when we got home.

After the movie was over I realized I had a missed call on my phone. The Library had called to tell me that Ava had won a prize in the drawing!! How does that happen?!?! We never win anything......that is up until now! We get to go pick up the prize tomorrow...how exciting!! It was a great fun filled Toy Story day with the family!

Pigtails

Ava and I had a girls night tonight while Jake took the boys to see the karate kid. We played dolls, read books, cuddled, watched a movie together, and played with her hair. Thats is when I discovered her hair is long enough to put into pigtails. I love having my baby girl, although I realized tonight when I looked at her in her pigtails that she in no longer a baby, but a little girl!

She is so busy now chatting, running around with her brothers, getting into things, and playing. Where has my baby gone!?!? It is so hard to believe she is 19 months old, maybe it is because she is the size of a 9 month old :) Doesn't my little girl look adorable in her little pigtails? I think so! Love you Ava Lynne!

Happy Birthday to my other half!!

Happy Birthday Jake!!! Today Jake turns the big 3-0!! I like to tease him a bit since he is four years older than I am, I tell him that he is getting old. He doesn't deny it and blames the stress of work and marriage for the wrinkles and thinning hair :) I love you Jake and still cannot believe that I fell head over heals for you when I met you in a history of rock and roll class at the U of U. Were we young back then or what?!?!

I really do love and appreciate all that you do for me and our children. You do sacrifice a lot for us and I know you would do anything in a heartbeat for us! You work hard in every aspect in your life. You are a hard worker at your job, in your church callings, training for triathlons, You work hard as a husband and a father and you also work hard to make each one of us happy, especially me, and I appreciate it!

Here is to another 30 great years......and this time we get to spend them ALL together!!
